I couldn't ask for a better mothers day.
I was able to sleep in for a bit and got an extra treat in bed, my son Griffin snuggled with me. It may have only lasted 60 seconds, but is was the best 60 seconds of the day. He doesn't do it very often so I have to savor the moments I get.
My parents came home late last week so we had them over for breakfast. Randy made us eggs benny, sausage, pancakes and fresh fruit. I stuffed myself till no more would fit in. Than I sat on the couch and read the paper - cover to cover (can't remember when I read my Sunday paper on a Sunday) while Randy did ALL the dished. I tried to help but he said "go relax".
At 12:00 I put Carson down for a nap and Randy headed to his moms (Carson and I have been sick so we needed to stay away from her). Griffin and my parents watched a movie while I scrapbooked and read my book. Pure heaven.
Around 4:00 we were all still stuffed from B'fast, so instead of eating dinner we headed to Mallards for some ice cream and than down to the water front for a nice walk. On our way home Griffin decided he wanted to have a tea party so when we got home, I took out the little cup and me and my little man had tea.
I could not have asked for anything more.
