i was shot down...

Seems like most of today I have been shot down.

Got up early to go to the mall. I thought the stores opened at 9:00. I was there at 8:30 for 3 reasons: 1. to go try on a super cute pair of pants I saw, 2. pick up my new glasses (the ones I got a few weeks ago - which I fell in love with - were to big, so I had to go with option number 2), 3. run to Target for house staples.

I figured I would go to Target last, so I parked there. I walked through Target and then the mall thinking I would shop at Kolh's till 9:00. I rounded the corner in the Kohls wing and saw their light on, YES! As I walked closer I noticed that their security gate was closed, at a distance you can't notice the gate (bummer). It was now 8:50 so I figured I would just wait. I can see people shopping inside, guess you have to go through the out side doors to get in. Anyway, the doors open and in I went. I found NOTHING in the clothes department. I headed over to the shoes; found a super cute pair but my toes hung over - nope, no way I was getting these.

Now I was ready to go try those super cute pants on. As I leave Kohls, I notice that no other stores are open, it's 9:30. The store does not open till 10:00; off to Target than. I found most of what I wanted and was done by 10:00. I practically run to get those pants. I go in and the lady asks me what size I need. I tell her and she give me a pair and tells me they run big. I cross my fingers and try them on. Yep, they are falling off. I ask if they have a smaller size - nope! I hang my head and walk out.

I go up to JC Penny's and try on 4 more pairs - I find the size and style I want (on sale) but the color that I desire, all sold out.

I go pick up my glasses, I give my old ones a little kiss goodbye and wiped tear from my eye. I will miss you!

Off to Macy's - strike three. I might as well head to Costco and let them kick me while I am down. I HATE going to Costco on a weekend. The parking lot is packed and the shoppers are so rude. I park next to the gas pumps (seems like a mile away from the front door) and head into the terror zone. I hate trying to maneuver around everyone; they just stop in the middle of the isle and stand there; or they leave their cart and hang around the food like it was some magical new invention or something that would change their life forever. It reminds me of cattle being lead to slaughter. People, please eat before you come. It's fish and energy drinks, must we act like they are giving you a steak dinner with lobster!

The second half of my day was better - just hanging at home with the little guy while Dad and Griffin went shopping for me. To all the wonderful mama's out there, have a great day tomorrow. We may not be perfect, but we sure try our hardest and no one can fault us for that.

Sorry about the bummer day! I ended up parked on the couch most of the day trying to shake off this cold. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!!

I had a migraine for 36 hours... does that make you feel any better? And halleuja (sp?) on shopping at Costco on the weeekends. I think it's gotten worse now that the Canadians come down every weekend (sorry, Jen!). And the people that get the samples gross me out. It's like hyena's stealing scraps off the carcas.

The famers market crowds are getting to be the same way :(
