Today I had to take G-man to the doctors for his 5 year check up.
It all went well - he is finally in at 50% for his weight (weighing in at a slender 39 pounds), and he is in the 25% for his height (Randy and I make them small). Dr. H said great things come in medium packages. He was able to answer all the doctors questions and was very well behaved.
Then the nurse came back to give him 5 shots. As the nurse was getting ready, Griffin started to cry. We had a second nurse come in to help assist with the arm holding so all the needles could go in.
He still is pretty upset (at 8:00 pm!!!!). I hope he is just milking it (thanks Grandpa B) and not really in that much pain.
No more shots till he is 12!
I asked the doctor about his night terrors, he asked if Randy or myself sleep walk. We don't, but I have been known to sit up, open my eyes and have conversations while I am asleep. Ask my mom, we had many when I was a teenager. Scary, I don't remember them, I wonder what I say!!!!
So far Griffin has gotten my eyes, my tempter, my lack of patience and this sleep disorder. Oh, and a foot problem - his feet turn in; it will correct it's self. Thank goodness, when I was younger I had to wear these ugly brown shoes to correct my feet. I wonder if that is why that boy used to squeeze my arms everyday till I cried (great childhood memories).
Anyway, hope not all my bad stuff is in him, should have some of Randy's great qualities as well.
