weekend recap...

This was a busy and fun weekend. 

It seems as if life gets crazier each day; by the end of last week I had just about all I could handle and decided I needed a few days to step away from it all and recharge my batteries. 

Randy was going to be gone part of the weekend so I decided to pack up the kids and my parents and head to the zoo for a full day of fun on Friday.  We had a blast at the zoo.  The weather was perfect and we saw a ton of animals.  We made it home about 9:00 pm, unloaded the car and we all crashed in my room that night.  Hope my boys remember all the slumber parties we had as they grow up an no longer want them. 

Saturday morning was pretty lazy but I did have to finally get up to do some work.  In the afternoon I got the boys out to enjoy the sun.  We headed to Fairhaven and had ice cream while sitting in the sun.  That worked to get me out of my funk.  After a stop at Sara W's house I took the boys over to my parents for a sleepover.  I did a little retail therapy as well ~ always good for the soul.  Then home to get ready to celebrate Mary's 30th!  (and my hubby made it home in time to come out with us!!!)

I didn't take my camera with me so I hope to get a picture of two from Jen of our night out.  It was a lot of fun.  Yummy food, good drinks, and lots of laughs with some of the most amazing people I know (so thankful to have them in my life). 

Sunday was a family walk to see the tall ships and fajitas with the brother in law.  Oh man, so nice to have wonderful weather the whole weekend.  Sorry to see it end.
