family vacation...

Last week we did a road trip to Harrison Hot Springs for our family vacation. On the way there we stopped at Dinotown. I went there as a child and have been waiting to take the boys there for some time.

It was a lot smaller than I remembered. Randy and I had to hold our comments back but the kids LOVED it. Griffin told us it was the best place we ever took him.

You may be wondering why I only posted pictures of Dinotown, where are the pictures of Harrsion Hot Springs? Well, the only picture I got was the hotel bathroom floor. Why? I was sick. I came down with a stomach thing the 1st night. Randy was the best. He got out of bed at 4:00 am (after having been woken up by me each hour) to go find me some aspirin in the hotel. The next day he spent at least 6 hrs in the pools (they have 5 and they are fabulous) with the boys. Griffin is a real fish after his swimming lessons - I highly recommend the Bellingham Golf and Country Club, they do amazing things. By the 3rd day I was ready to go home; we were able to check out a day early and were on the road by 10:00 an. It was so nice to get into my own bed.

I do plan on heading up there again sometime. We would love to hang out at the beach and sit in the sun. Oh well, we get to return to reality tomorrow. It's been so nice to have a few weeks off. Some home projects have been crossed off the list. I have caught up on my sleep. Had quality time with the boys. I guess I have to work to pay for memories like these.
