I just returned from a very emotional photo session.
I received an e-mail a few days ago asking if I could do a session for a lady and her sick dog. The dog is like her baby and she wanted to have some photos to remember her baby by. Today she told me the dog only has days to live. There was no way I could walk away from this.
After dinner I meet her and Daisy at their place. Daisy is a black lab, sweet as can be. The moment I spotted them sitting in the field tears filled my eyes. As I walked over to them, I could feel the lump in my throat form.
We both cried off and on through out the session. I could feel the love radiating off of them both. As she touched Daisy's ears, her favorite part, I began to cry. Loss is so powerful, no matter if it's human or animal. I hope to have some pictures soon.
I felt bad taking her money for the session; she included a hand written note letting me know how much this meant to her and her husband. I hope the photos turn out the way is imagining.
Just thought I would share.

that made me cry a little bit. It is such a great gift that you can give her that gift of a perfectly preserved memory.
What a treasure that she found you and you're able to help her capture their sweet relationship!
