Yesterday was Easter - man this year is going by fast.
We did nothing! Griffin woke up, walked into the living room to check out his Easter basket and then came and got us up. As soon as the baby was awake we headed out to see what the bunny had left them (lots of candy and a few toys).
G was super excited about his bug house and magnifying glass; C was in heaven with his bucket and shovels for the sand box.
After breakfast we hid the eggs and the boys had an egg hunt. Carson was so darn cute when he found one, he would squeal with delight. After all the eggs were gathered up, it was mom and dad's turn. G hid the eggs and Randy and I had to find them. Let me tell you, he is one good egg hider. I was afraid we would not locate them all; there is no way I want rotten eggs in the house. We asked G for help but he had forgotten where he put them. No worries, we finally found them.
It was a very lazy day. We all stayed in our pj's and I even took a 2.5 hour nap. Now that's a way to spend a cold and rainy holiday.
I am having a hard time today. I keep hearing what others do and I am feeling a bit bad. I want to have fun family traditions that the kids remember and look forward to. Maybe next year I will get going and do some more things (like church, brunch, etc).

don't feel bad! Your kids will remember having their parents undivided attention. My kids spent over 4 hours in the car.
we did something different almost every year...the thing i remember the most? the fact that we were together...and just hung out as a family. you are an AMAZING parent and those 2 little boys know that! love you!
