one day old
Six years oldToday I had a permanent grin on my face. I couldn't quite smiling. It was my baby's birthday.
He was so excited to go to school today; he was bringing treats for his class. I left work early, (as I was leaving I noticed that I had a huge smile on my face - still) and picked him up at 11:30. We headed to Applebees to have lunch with daddy. Of course he had his all time favorite dish - mac and cheese.
After lunch, Griffin and I went to the movies. I sat there, looking at him. The smile did not leave my face. I was so happy to be hanging out with him. Once daddy came home, we opened presents, ate dinner and than dug into the cake and ice cream.
The day was perfect for me, I hope it was as special for Griffin. Happy birthday to my first born, you will always hold a very special spot in my soul.

I can't believe how darn fast they grow. Sounds like Griffin had a great 6th birthday!
Wow! That picture of him at one day old... it's amazing that he looks exaclty like he does now - just smaller.
