Last night I had to rescue my hubby - he had locked his keys in the car. While we were gone Randy's mom left us a voice mail - which she never does.
I listen to the message, my heart was pounding. We have been waiting a long time for this call. She is laughing on the message. Really laughing. She tells us to call her so she can tell us about her day. I am jumping up and down with joy.
I phone back but their line is busy (they do not have call waiting). Randy is finally able to talk to her about 30 mins latter, here is the low down:
- She still has a small spot of cancer on her intestine and liver (seems the one on her stomach is gone)
- The doctor in Seattle is very, very happy with this
- She will be apply for this new experimental treatment; her doctor has seen amazing things happen to people that have been on this treatment
- If she is accepted, the treatment will be in Seattle (that is all we know, we have no idea what the treatment is, how long, what the side effect are)
- Her doctor is pretty sure that the loss of feeling in her feet will start to get better soon, Linda just has to drink a ton of water to flush out her system
Randy and I did a little happy dance last night. I was sure we would get bad news, but this is pretty darn good news.
I will keep you posted when I know more. Thanks for all your concern, it's nice to know I have such amazing people in my life.
