bedside manners she does not have....

The boys get their hair cut by the lady who does mine. She does a fantastic job with them and they eat up the "all lady's" saloon.

I find myself forgetting to call and make a hair appointment for them every few months. I hate it when my kids hair gets long. i was going to call today and see if they could go see Glenda next week, but my attitude was bad and I just wanted them to get it done now.

Randy needed one as well so we head down to Super Cuts. We all got in at the same time. Griffin gets a sweet little blond to cut his hair and Randy gets the fashion, fun talking stylist to cut his. The girl that must have picked the small straw gets Carson. We walk over to her chair and I see she has put the step stool on the chair. There is no way Carson will sit still on that thing. I tell her that he has to sit on my lap and she whips it off.

The next thing I know she has taken that white paper crap and put it around Carson's neck. No explaining to him BEFORE she does it, no warning, she just takes it and tries to choke my son. Carson loses it, he is bright red from crying and huge tears are rolling down his check. She tries 3 more times, all 3 times he rips it off. I ask her if we can go without the white tissue paper and she says "We can't do it without it". No, "I'm sorry but health code says we have to have it", or "sorry I scared him, shall we try one more time".

Finally we get it on and it's time to cut. She holds down his head and starts buzzing away. I have never had anyone hold my sons head down. They have always asked me to hold his head or asked before they touched my son. Not this gal; I was afraid to feel how much pressure she was using, thank goodness his soft spot is no longer soft. She gets done cutting but still has around the ears to do. She brings out a smaller clipper and asks if I want his sides done. I say "yes, I will hold him still". Her reply "These bite, if he moves he will get hurt". Ok, I guess we will pass. So instead of getting out the scissors and touching the sides up, she whips off his cape, whips of mine, a huge pile of his just cut hair lands on my wool sweater and walks away. No "how do you like it", "thanks for coming in" "your kids a real pain in the ass" nothing!

She was a bitch.

I know it's stressful when a kid is crying ,but you could at least be nice. I was going to give her a huge tip but with that attitude. I told Randy to give her a $1.00. Moral of this story, I will always take Carson to Glenda! At least she puts up with his shit and still loves him.

That IS terrible! We take the kids to Great Clips (by the Bakerview Fred Meyer) and they've always done fine, except for once, and she just rushed through Natalie, not a bad attitude. And they hardly ever use the paper collar, that was just to keep hair from sneaking down you cape I thought!
I'd complain. At least get a free haircut for Randy next time.
