The simple things in life. Love long weekends, especially when the sun is out.
Today we all slept in. I think I opened my eyes around 7:30. I hadn't heard any kids up yet. I tried to go back to sleep but my mind kept wandering - is the baby ok. I finally tip toed in to make sure he was alive, I saw he was breathing and went back to bed. We don't get to sleep in much so when we do, I have to take full advantage.
We decided to go to breakfast - yummy, yummy. We sat behind this cute old couple. The man had the loudest, deepest voice I have ever heard. It was fun to listen to him talk to his wife about everything from people watching at the mall (those darn girls, wearing those short shirts and low pants with their bellys hanging out) to the state of the economy. Makes me wonder what Randy and I will talk about when we are that old.
Afterwards we headed to the car show down by the water. It was very windy, but the sun was out and we were not going to stay inside. On our way home we stoped off and finally got our flowers. It felt so good to get them in the ground. Griffin was a huge help with watering everything. It amazes me to see how the deck changes once we get a bit of color to pop in the corners.
Hope everyone is having a blast in the sun.
