our pumpkin....

It's tradition in our family to carve our pumpkin the weekend before Halloween. Last night was our big night.

I didn't feel like making a huge mess carving the pumpkin so Griffin and I decided to paint it. I got a good idea out of a magazine: put tape on the pumpkin and paint it, when it dries, you peel off the tape and orange will show through. I decided to do polka dots.

Griffin really loved to get down and dirty painting. Daddy was in charge of pictures - thanks!

The final product didn't turn out the way I thought it would, but it does look pretty darn good on our porch at night time.

On a different note, the Amazing Race starts in less than a week!!!!!!! So excited.
